The Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development (AIARD) is a professional association dedicated to the alleviation of world hunger and poverty through international agriculture and rural development. Our membership includes professionals and students in the United States and in international locations. We work at universities, in government and non-government organizations, in private sector companies and as international consultants.

We are dedicated to carrying out international agriculture and rural development programs and to serving as a focal point for information sharing and education to raise the priority of international agricultural development and the alleviation of world hunger on the agenda of United States and developing countries. Consistent with that is our continued dedication to the idea that efforts in international agriculture are a ìwin-winî proposition -- a positive way that the United States can engage in international cooperation to help others while also furthering our own goals.

Benefits of AIARD membership include receiving useful information via the AIARD listserv and the AIARD newsletter. Being a member of AIARD gives you an opportunity to take part in an organization which aims to make a positive difference in the lives of people in developing countries and the United States by providing education and information.
