Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore is a new member of AIARD and recipient of the 2007 AIARD Young Professional Award. Mr. Moore currently works at the USDA-Agricultural Research Service- Office of International Research Programs as an International Affairs Specialist. In his six years with ARS he has had responsibility for project development, management and agency affairs

responsibility for North, Central, South America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, and India. He has also managed an agreement with USAID which has kept him connected to the development aspects of agricultural research in sub-Saharan Africa and India. Prior to working at ARS, Mr. Moore was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal working with an agricultural NGO that promoted sustainable hillside agricultural systems. Mr. Moore has recently completed a Masters degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, which will enable him to work more comprehensively on issues that rural agrarian communities encounter.
