Bonnie Pendleton

Bonnie Pendleton

Dr. Bonnie Pendleton is Associate Professor of Integrated Pest Management-Entomology in the Department of Agricultural Sciences at West Texas A&M University, Canyon, where she researches ways to manage insect pests of field crops, especially sorghum resistance, and teaches Economic Entomology, Field Crop Entomology, and Weeds and Weed Control.

 

She has a Ph.D. in Entomology from Texas A&M University, with M.A. in Anthropology and B.A. in Biology from California State University, Chico. During the past 14 years, she wrote 140 publications and gave 224 research presentations. Since 1997, she co-authored proposals funded for $1.6 million for projects and sorghum program proposals funded for $16.5 million. She collaborates with scientists in nine African countries and is Co-coordinator of the West Africa Regional Program for INTSORMIL. She is Editor of Southwestern Entomologist and President and member of seven committees of the Southwestern Branch of the Entomological Society of America.
