Position: Part Time Web Content Manager (Approximately 20 hours/month, will vary)

Wages: $20/hour

The goals of the AIARD Website are:

  1. To provide current and accurate information (meetings, events, membership lists, etc) for AIARD members and others interested in international agriculture
  2. To increase the visibility of AIARD in the international development community

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain AIARD's website (to include additional web-based applications and programs as necessary and feasible.
  • Perform routine daily, weekly, and periodic major and minor updates of online text, photographs, and forms---including the event updates, newsletter, minutes, links, and other website information.
  • Evaluate, track, and report usage of AIARD's website, and recommend improvements to existing website site for increased effectiveness and efficiency by utilizing statistical analyses and usage trends.
  • Provide assistance to maintain website format and navigation to ensure continuity and standardization, and to provide for ease of updating.

Experience Required

  • Relevant technology for websites (i.e., design, development concepts, management tools, operations, data base, content publishing/management systems and other related technologies and protocols).
  • Familiarity with hosting websites.
  • Web technologies including XHTML, cascading style sheets, JavaScript.
  • Web based applications including database driven applications.
